Haarlem and Zandvoort - “Little Amsterdam” and the beach, on the same train line, 15 and 30 minutes from Amsterdam

 Zaanse Schans - windmill village just outside the small town of Zaandam. Also 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam and then to reach Zaanse Schans, you can continue a few more stops to the Zaandijk station, but from here it is a 15-20 minute walk. There is also a bike rental directly in front of the train station.
